Paula is nasty, rude, and not smart. Another VLJ hired contemporaneously with her is described on this website as "an experiment which failed." That is Paula as well. She routinely targets attorneys, nit-picks their work, yells and screams at them, and berates them if they seek help outside of her team. She won't help attorneys who work for her (as she puts it). Why would she? She can't help someone adjudicate these claims when she doesn't know how to do it herself. The mandatory training she gave about service personnel records - truly a low point in mandatory trainings - demonstrated how shrill, brittle, and un-learned in VA law she is and she earned every bit of contempt from others at the Board who actually do the work and know what they're doing when they do it. Paula doesn't know what she doesn't know. And she doesn't care. She also hands out "1" and "2" ratings for minor nit-picking edits which is contrary to Board policy and practice. Again, she doesn't care. Avoid Paula at all costs. She is a nasty, brittle shrew. Negative stars across the board in all categories.
