TAGS: Negative Attitude, Rigid, Bad Communicator

Emily is shrill, brittle, and doesn't support her attorneys generally. Attorneys can work with her with supreme efforts but she very much has an "my way or the highway" attitude in approaching cases. She also thinks she knows everything there is to know about VA law. Humility is not her style.

Emily deserves more than five stars for interpersonal skills, mentoring, and support. I was on her team during a significant personal crisis; she was 100% there for me, and >>>>>100% wonderful. Further, she is EXCEPTIONALLY bright, with a deep knowledge of Veterans’ compensation law that she is quick to share, and she does so in a way that is easily digestible. Her concern for others is clearly manifest in her leadership style. She is exceptionally generous with her time. She is not afraid to give candid advice. And she is funny. I am better off for having known and worked with Emily Tamlyn!

One of the best supervisors I've ever had. She asked for volunteers for a project, supported us 100 percent, and then took a step back to let us find our own way. She was always ready to answer questions and responded with compassion. She was ready with honest and constructive feedback. I felt listened to and was always happy to have her in my corner.
