In the time it takes you to read this review, you will have forgotten more Veterans' law than Andy Mackenzie will ever know. It says something about his complete lack of knowledge of Veterans law (and interpersonal skills) that he boasted about how it took him 9 different times applying for VLJ before he was promoted. This was one of the worst promotions to have happened in my nearly 20 years at the Board. His signed cases as a VLJ are a mess and he has one of the highest CAVC remand rates as a result. He doesn't support any of the attorneys who write for him and actively sabotaged me when I wrote for him. Update: Andy doesn't know how to apply the law as a VLJ and made a very simple and obvious mistake in raising an Arneson claim in a decision where there was no such mistake. He was too illiterate in VA law to understand the mistake when it was pointed out to him as well. Less than zero stars.
