I cannot say enough good things about Steve Reiss. He is what the Board should be about. He truly cares about Veterans and he care about the people he works with regardless of title. HE cares about your career. He is always seeking ways to help people and make you better. He knows Veteran's law unlike anyone I have ever seen. He's like a computer. I would not still be at the Board if it weren't for him. He is beyond fair. He is such an amazing person. The Board is lucky to have him and I am grateful that I had the opportunity to work with him.

Steve Reiss is likely the most supportive boss I have ever had. He cares deeply about people. He could not be further from “Lazy, Unorganized, Unprepared.” Rather, he exhaustively pre-screens his hearing cases, which makes it VERY easy for attorneys to write decisions for him. He cares deeply about Veterans’ compensation law and works tirelessly to teach all of its many nuances to attorneys. He supports his attorneys, in that several current SSC and judges have written under him. He could be the poster child for servant leadership, psychological safety, engaged, and supportive. I am a better human being and attorney for having written for Steve Reiss.
