Judge Tenner is one of the best judges I have worked with. He is very relaxed, which is not the normal with many judges in my opinion. He will not request rewrites unless he wants to go an entirely different route. He knows his job is to make the minor edits, rather then bog down his attorneys with unnecessary work that he can do himself, and save time in the process. He is always welcoming. Don't expect lectures about how you did something wrong, rather expect constructive input. He appreciates everyone's writing style and acknowledges that decisions may often go many ways, so he does not try to nit-pick minor points. If you are someone who can work independently without constant input, he's great.

Matt is a smart attorney and VLJ and a smooth operator within the Board's systems. He is a solid VLJ who won't go out of his way to teach the unteachable or reach the unreachable but he will work with just about anyone else to make sure their Board career is a success. Having worked in the Front Office for a few (but not too many) years, he retains a healthy skepticism about Board management (which is always a good thing). He's also a survivor so he treads carefully in his decisions and in how he presents himself to his colleagues and the attorneys who work for him.
